ACTING NATIONAL ASSEMBLY CLERK TASKS OSUN RESIDENTS ON DEVELOPMENT








 Residents of Osun state have been enjoined to show more commitment to the development of the state and its aspiration to rank among the first five fast growing states in the country.



The acting clerk to the National Assembly,  architect Ojo Olatunde Amos gave the admonition in his congratulatory message to governor Gboyega Oyetola and  people of the state  on the occasion of its 29th  anniversary.

The Osun State born architect, Ojo Babatunde,  emphasized the need for sons and daughters of the state to jettison political differences and key into the development oriented policies of  governor Gboyega Oyetola administration in the interest of all. 

“ we must all put on the amour of steadfastness and diplomacy in our diplomacy of taking Osun state to the Zenith of stability, progress and prosperity”.

According to him the people of the state ought to rise to the level of national reputation by displaying a newly improved character of commitment and competence in their various fields of endeavors to achieve the common goal.

“ we must encourage and support his Excellency, governor Gboyega Oyetola in his determination to help move the state out of torpor and climb one step higher on the ladder of societal development”

He appreciated the founding fathers of the state for their resounding victory over the stumbling blocks to the success during the struggle for the creation of the state 29 years ago, saying the efforts of the heroes and heroines will never be forgotten in the Anna of the state. 

“ I am therefore using this medium to express my hearty felicitation with his Excellency, Gboyega Oyetola, governor of Osun State for his selflessness and modesty, monumental sense of service and sacrifice since assumption of office as the governor of the state of the living springs'

Architect Ojo Babatunde, however, prayed for the progress of the state and well being of the residents

Kolanut seller feeds 1000 in Ilesa

A prosperous eighty three years old kolanut seller, madam Fehintola Onifade today  distributed 5kg of rice gari and cow meat to 1000 residents of Irojo and Anaye areas of Ilesa Osun state to cushion the effect of lockdown on the people.     
Madam Onfade  who was reluctant to speak with journalists, told our correspondent who is a family friend that she was touched by the Lamentations of some needy when the lockdown was  relaxed for  two days to enable residents most of whom had no wherewithal to stock their houses for the second phase of the curfew.
She said she was able to prevail on her children who are business men to help her feed 1000 people stressing that  they will spend more on reception and entertainment of their guests at a social function.

She prayed God to have mercy on mankind and heal the world of the covid 19 virus.
Our man who monitored distribution of the palliatives reports that all the beneficiaries prayed for longevity of live for the donor and  prosperity  for her children .
