FAKE ARMY CAPTAIN ARRESTED BY POLICE FOR ARMED ROBBERY

A 39-year-old impostor Army captain named Andy Teddy Edwards has been taken into custody by detectives with the Lagos State Police Command for armed robbery.

By pretending to be a modelling agent, the fake soldier would invite women for auditions before holding them at gunpoint hostage while robbing them of their automobiles and valuables.

After a laborious investigation was conducted after one of his victims claimed that her Lexus RX330 SUV had been robbed, he was ultimately apprehended.

AFL 469 GD number plate, one sewing machine, one POS machine with six SIM cards, two pairs of military camouflage outfit, and one Ford Edge SUV with registration number KRD 276 EG were all found at the suspect's home after further investigation.

While the investigation is being completed, the owner of the Ford SUV is now encouraged to come forward and claim same. Following the inquiry, the suspect would be arraigned.

The good people of Lagos State are once again assured by the commissioner of police for the state, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, of the command's officers' and men's unflinching dedication to the eradication of crime and criminality in the state.
