A 30,000 NAIRA SMEDAN/FADAHUNSI ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINEE BOUGHT A CAR FROM PROCEEDS AFTER MONTHS -LEGISLATIVE AID

 
The five day entrepreneurship training organized by Senator Francis Fadahunsi in conjunction with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria has come to an end with a call for maximal utilization of the skills acquired by the participants to boost the nation’s per capital income.
Speaking at the 72 participants' training conclusion ceremony who were chosen from the Osun East Senatorial District, speakers praised the program's instruction, noting that it was particularly well-timed given the nation's oversaturated labour market and dearth of white-collar jobs.
Declaring the training program Closed, Mr. Sunday Bisi, the chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Osun state who was   represented by Mr. Jola Akintola, the commissioner of health, begged the participants to use the knowledge they had gained over the five days of intensive skill acquisition to broaden their horizons and improve their lot in life.
He claimed that a number of Senator Fadahunsi's empowerment initiatives had helped his constituents become self-sufficient and help them find their way in life.
A senior legislative Aid to the senator , Mr Ayo Borepo emphasized the attendant beneficial effects of the  training , noting that it will make the participants employers of labors provided they ensure proper  utilization of the knowledge gained.
Mr Borepo disclosed that additional 120 people from each local government in the senatorial district are going to benefit from the next batch of the empowerment program.
Another legislative aid to Senator Fadahunsi, Mr. Femi Fadipe, encouraged the beneficiaries not to engage in frivolities but to invest the start-up fund given them by the organiser to start a trade, citing the example of a beneficiary of a previous program from Ile Ife who has become a big-time manufacturer of detergent and bathing soap.
According to Mr. Fadipe, the lady who started the business with less than 50,000 naira recently bought a Corolla sport car as part of her progress.
Two beneficiaries, Mr. Segun Amure and Mr. Felix Adegoke, expressed their gratitude to the program's organisers, describing it as appropriate given the current, grave global economic crisis that affects the entire nation.
Meanwhile, The state commissioner for employment and cooperatives, Mr. Bayo Ogungbangbe, who flagged off the entrepreneurship development training program on Monday said   senator Senator Fadahunsi has concluded plans to establish cooperative societies in all the wards constituting the senatorial district
According to him,.many people have also benefitted one million or two million each from the state loan under its cooperative scheme.
In a remark, the osun The chairman of the Osun East senatorial district, Mr. Akindele Famuyide, revealed in a statement that the project, which is estimated to cost one billion naira, will benefit more than 500 individuals.
Mr Akindele also stated that fertilizer worth over 120 million naira has been procured and ready for  distribution by senator Fadahunsi in due course.
He urged the beneficiaries to make the effort of senator Fadahunsi to make life better for the small and medium scale entrepreneurs count by making judicious use of the training and fund attached.
As a recipient of Fadahunsi's generosity, the coordinator of program and Mama Fada Women of Integrity, a non-governmental organisation, Mrs. Victoria Oluwaseun Oyewusi, said she has given members of the organisation a grant of four million naira in support of the senator
She urged everyone who has profited from Senator Fadahunsi's many empowerment initiatives to talk about them and pass them on to others.
