Health care services at Ijesa Geriatric Centre, Ilesa, today received a boost as the largest elderly people’s hospital in Nigeria received medical supplies worth several thousands of naira from Ajimoko III’s Coronation Planning Committee .
Presenting the items, including medications, syringes, test kits , gloves and Owa’s coronation branded table water, on behalf of the chairman of the Planning Committee, Professor Wale Omole, the secretary, Lady Dupe Ajayi Gbadebo, said the medical supplies were the leftovers from the free healthcare service rendered to the people of Ijesaland as part of the coronation activities.
Lady Ajayi Gbadebo, who emphasised the importance of quality health service for the elderlies, noted that Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup has mandated the medical subcommittee of the Coronation Planning Committee to work with the existing patriotic Ijesa sons and daughters who have been catering to the welfare of the senior citizens all this while.
Receiving the medical supplies on behalf of the management of the hospital , the Physician In Charge, Dr Ladi Fakoya, expressed appreciation to the people of Ijesaland for giving priority to the health of the elderly people.
He prayed for the peaceful reign of Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III and restated the commitment of the hospital management and staff to achieving the aims and objectives of the founders of the hospital.
Recall that many people benefitted from the free medical tests and treatment commemorating the formal coronation of Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III as the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland .
