10/10/2019 SAWE @ 80
It was a gathering of the pump and pageantry, as crème de la crème of the society gathered in the ancient city of Ilesa to grace the glamorous 80th birthday anniversary of a foremost ijesa Patriot of  21st century, the Sawe of Ilesa, chief Charles Akinwande  Akinola.

Describing chief Akinola as a devoted musketeer, the Owa OBOKUN of Ijesaland who danced majestically to the stage to ‘sing' his  tribute , said the celebrant deserved the society celebrations lavished on him by collectivity of the Ijesa sons and daughters at home and in diaspora for his laudable commitment to advancement of the legacies of his progenitors.

The celebration which metamorphosed to launching of Ijesaland Development council was Described as a new dawn for the development of the first local council area in the country by the Owa Obokun.

Inaugurating the IDC, the celebrant, chief Charles Akinola who returned all the glory to almighty God, his creator, tasked the Sawe @ 80 group that drew membership from cities, towns and villages across Ijesaland to form a formidable front towards achieving greater feat in their agitation for greatness for the land.
