MACEDONIAN CALL: CHRISTIANS APPLAUD THE IJESALAND DEVELOPMENT FUND INITIATIVE

The Ijesaland Development Fund campaign receives a boost as churches massively endorse the project when the Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi-led Ijesaland Community Development Assembly visits the Cathedral of Saints John's, Iloro, Ilesa Diocese Anglican Communion.

The Diocesan Bishop, Right Revend Dapo Asaju, described the initiative as a Macedonian call to redeem the glory of Ijesaland.
Right Reverend Asiwaju showered encomium on all the Ijesaland developers who have been contributing to the realisation and solidification of various lofty development ideas initiated by the deep thinkers under the auspices of the Ijesaland Community Development Assembly and prayed for a renewed unction of the Holy Ghost upon them for greater exploits.
Earlier the Asiwaju of Ijesaland had explained to the church how many development projects running into billions of naira were achieved by a very few Ijesa patriots and the reason for everyone who is of Ijesa origin to be part of the laudable communal effort to transform Ijesaland as dreamt by her progenitors.

Analysing the 10 levels of the contribution as indicated in the IDF modus operandi, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi maintained that all the Ijesas from the age of twenty-one years upwards and the non-indigenes who have benefitted from the land socioeconomically were qualified to contribute a maximum of 1 million Naira and a minimum of 1 thousand Naira annually towards achieving the objective.

He stated that though the contribution, which was scheduled for January 2026, might begin earlier due to the prevailing requests of some individuals that advocated the accelerated commencement of the project, which he said would be beneficial to all six local government areas in Ijesaland.

According to the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, a committee of 10 to 11 members representing each ward in each of the 6 Local Government Areas would be constituted to carry out a Needs Assessment Study for each of the local councils in determining suitable projects for them.
All the congregants showed their overwhelming support when the leader of the ICDA sought their opinions about the initiative.

Recall that the Ijesaland Community Development Assembly midwifed the birth of the new Owa's palace, the Ijesa Geriatric Centre, and the University of Ilesa, which championed the sponsorship of 250 indigent students of the Federal School of Science and Technology Ilesa and 100 students of the Leventis Foundation Agricultural School Ilesa.
