Making health services accessible to the grassroots should be the concern of government and non-governmental organizations to boast life expectancy.
The Alatorin of Atorin Ijesa , oba Omololu Afilaka stated this while speaking with tumexhaastrup on the free medical outreach he organized in conjunction with Pamela Bello -Olatunji Foundation in Atorin .
Describing the rural dwellers as providers of food for the metropolitans , Oba Afilaka said health of the people should be accorded top priority for better performance with a view to boasting food production.
The Alatorin reiterated his commitment to the welfare of his people and development of his domain and urged the beneficiaries to use the drugs prescribed and supplied by the doctors religiously in their interest.
Leader of the medical team, doctor Segun Ilori advised the people at the grassroots to ascribe importance to their health and engage in physical exercise to keep fit.
Doctor Ilori expressed satisfaction with the turn out of the people which he said was impressive, urging other traditional rulers to follow suit and bring medical services to the doorsteps of their subjects.
