IWUDE IJESA IN A NEW DIMENSION

PLANNING FOR IWUDE IWUDE IJESA IN THE TOP GEAR.

This year's Iwude Ijesa festival is taking a new dimension as the committee secured the consent of the chairman, Board of Directors of International Brewery Ilesa , Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty, Nnaemaka Alfred Achiebe, OFR MNI, as the royal guest. The company has also promised her  sponsorship.

Also the ijesas in diaspora have also signified interest not only to grace but to play significant roles in the grand finale.

To this end, Local Government and Local Council Development Areas chairmen in attendance have reiterated their commitment to mobilizing traditional rulers in their catchment areas to make this year's edition more glamorous..

The meeting resolved to revert to the old tradition to use the Iwude as a platform to synergize and harness our resources not only to develop the land but to engender unity among the people as well as settle discord with balls of pounded yam and efo worowo.

Highlights of the event:

1. meeting with club and societies on December 7 at Obokungbusi  town hall. Time is 11am

2.Jumat Prayer is slated for Friday , Dec. 10 at the Central Mosque Mosque, Ijebujesa. Time is 1pm.

3. Special Church Service holds on Dec.12 at Cathedral Church of Holy Trinity, Omofe Ilesa. Time is 10am.

4 Press conference is scheduled for Ipetujesa.

5. Dec. 13th 1st  Semi final match , Iwude Ijesa Unity Soccer Cup. Venue is  The College of Technology Esa Oke. 

6. Dec 14th Second  Semi final match , Iwude Ijesa Unity Soccer Cup. Venue is Ifewara 

7.Dec 15th Inter-school debate at Otan Ile . Time 10am

8.Dec 16th Carnival float @10am

8.Dec 16th Ayo Game @10am

9.Dec. 16th 3rd place match Iwude Ijesa Unity cup will take place at Ibokun Ijesa 

10. Dec 17th Cultural/ Gala day holds at oba Adekunle Aromolaran Civic Centre @ noon.

11. Dec 17th Final match Iwude Ijesa Unity cup @ Ilesa Grammar School. Time is 3pm.

12. Dec 18th Iwude Ijesa marathon race at Obokungbusi civic Centre.

13. Dec18th Grand finale , Iwude Obokungbusi Civic Centre.
